“Not by works, so that no one can boast.” —Ephesians 2:9 (NIV)
Peace 107 invites you to join us in the fight to end hunger as we raise money for our area school food banks with Empty Bowls, Jr!
This Saturday, February 29, from 11 to 1:30, stop by Allen Honda in College Station, buy a hand painted bowl from a child for $10, and get a meal of soup and bread from one of our amazing local restaurants… Amico Nave, C&J’s BBQ, Buppy’s Catering, Casa Rodriguez, J Cody’s, The Kyle House, Shipwreck and The Village Downtown.
Brian & Ann from the Peace 107 morning show will be helping serve.
All the proceeds go to The Arts Council and to food banks serving our local schools, so no child has to go hungry.
Empty Bowls, Jr. is brought to you by Allen Honda, The Arts Council of the Brazos Valley, Brazos Valley students and teachers, and Peace 107.

“As for me, I will be vindicated and will see your face; when I awake, I will be satisfied with seeing your likeness.” —Psalm 17:15
At times, I think it would be nice if I could make time stand still… to just extend the time with whatever awesome thing Jesus has placed in my life at that moment. But since I can’t, I take pictures… as reminders… like the Israelites stacking stones in the wilderness. Pictures are something I can go back to and remember God’s love, His care, His provision or just the joy of that moment.
These pictures are from a tree in a friend’s back yard in El Paso. God did some amazing healing in my heart through my time in that desert city!! When I think of how much my life has been renewed, I always think of Isaiah 43:18-19 – “But forget all that – it is nothing compared to what I am going to do. For I am about to do something new. See, I have already begun! Do you not see it? I will make a pathway through the wilderness. I will create rivers in the dry wasteland.”
A friend reminded me recently… even these awesome memories and feelings are NOTHING compared to what eternity with Jesus will be like!! Right?!!
