Saturday Bible Boot Camp (VBS) at Rock Prairie Baptist Church, College Station. TX on May 27, 2017 from 8AM to 4PM. Theme: Learning to Put on the Full Armor of God. Experience a fun-filled day of Bible stories, crafts, activities, and lively songs. Lunch provided. Free admission. his class is a free service to the community to make sure every woman has the resources to defend herself. You will learn avoidance tactics, how to escape and disengage, and how to fight back when there are no other options. Each class you will learn new techniques taught by female instructors.

In addition to this once-a-month free class, we also offer a women’s only BJJ classes every Friday at 5:30 pm for members.
Instructor: Charity Combs. Charity is a purple belt from the Houston area. She has fallen in love with brazilian jiu jitsu not only because it is empowering, but also because of its health benefits. Charity lost 70 pounds with jiu jitsu! Once she started, it gave her the motivation and confidence to start eating healthily and develop other healthy habits.
As a single mom getting her masters while working, Charity also fell in love with the therapeutic aspects of jiu jitsu. “BJJ has been my therapy…You don’t have to worry about other things when you’re rolling.”
(Meets every Saturday from 3-5pm) Kids from 9-18 and their parents are invited to explore electronics, robotics, and programming in an informal environment. Mentors are on site to help guide you. All materials and equipment is provided. We have RC toys and high-tech programmable robots and everything in between. Students can even access 3D printers, laser cutters, and more. Covering the hill with blankets and lawn chairs, music lovers of all walks of life have ventured to Wolf Pen Creek Park since 2002 to enjoy free, family-friendly entertainment under the stars during the Starlight Music Series. This year, we’re bringing back six nights of entertainment and the Voters’ Choice contest.

Admission is free. Gates open at 6 p.m. and the concerts begin at 7. Guests may bring their own refreshments. Coolers must be 48 quarts or smaller. Glass containers, kegs, and pets are not allowed. Concessions will be available for purchase. Smoking is not allowed in the main seating area. There are three designated smoking areas in the facility. Blanket-only seating areas are designated for each concert. Chairs are welcome, but they may not occupy blanket-only seating. Free parking is available at Post Oak Mall, and handicap parking will be located off of Colgate Drive.
