The Sweet T Vintage Market & Southern Junk Show is returning April 21- 22, 2017 to the Wellborn Community Center & Grounds, 4119 Greens Prairie Road West, College Station, TX.
Shoppers attending the Sweet T Vintage Market will experience an amazing shopping venue where they will have the opportunity see, enjoy and buy from some of the best vendors in the area and many more who will be traveling from across the state and beyond! These talented artisans will be arriving on Thursday, Apr. 20 to set up for the event, bring with them many one-of-a-kind finds, along with a wide variety of vintage, antique, hand-crafted treasures and boutique style items!
The “junker” gals of Sweet T Vintage Market are super excited to have exclusive use of the Wellborn Community Center & Grounds to once again bring this incredible market to Bryan-College Station.
“The Wellborn Community Center makes for a ‘charming’ country setting for our event,” said Tammye Mineo, co-owner of Sweet T Vintage Market. “We like to say it’s where a little country meets the city!”
“We take up the entire Wellborn Center grounds, Mineo said. “We have vendors in the main building, under the pavilion, in tents, as well mobile boutiques. There are also several food trucks and food vendors. Live musicians. We literally transform the entire area!”
Sweet T Vintage Market was the first “vintage/junkin” type event in the area! The first market was held in October 2014. It has grown to a bi-annual event that the community looks forward to each April and October. It’s a weekend packed with good shopping, food, live music, fun and of course, good ol’ “southern” JUNK!!!
The Sweet T gals, Tammye Mineo and Tammy Farkas, are 2 junkin’ journalists who left careers in publishing to pursue doing what they love. They have more than 50 combined years of experience in event planning, marketing, advertising and publishing.
“It only made sense that we combine our passion for junkin’ and our marketing experience to create a place for our fellow ‘junkers’ and creative artisans to sell their incredible collectibles, décor accessories, clothing, jewelry, vintage wares and so much more,” said Tammy Farkas, co-owner of Sweet T Vintage Market.
“We are both local to Bryan-College Station and Sweet T is planned with our community in mind. We have created a shopping tradition that our local community looks forward twice a year,” said Mineo.
Tickets are $5 for adults; $4 for students with ID and children 13 & under are free. Tickets are good the entire weekend.
Shopping hours are 9 am to 6 pm, Friday and 9 am to 5 pm, Saturday.
