Peace family, I recently got to experience the rising of the sun for the very first time. As long as I have lived, I have never gotten to just watch the horizon until it rose; I have either been busy with school or work, or been asleep! Fortunately, though, in the midst of the morning show work, Brian said, “Hey! The sun is about to come up! Let’s just take one minute and see it rise.”
Peace family, there was a gradual brightening that felt like it took a long time, I blinked, and the sun was there! I was actually surprised by how quickly it rose, once it actually peaked over the horizon.
It’s such a simple activity, but one that has been occurring for thousands of years. Have you ever had the chance to experience it? I know a lot of us might be sleeping, reading, working, or even hunting as the sun comes up, but we are almost never just sitting and looking to where we know it will arrive in expectation and quietude.
Peace family, take that opportunity! Make yourself some tea, cocoa, or coffee, get up early just once on a day when you don’t need to. There are so many miracles to experience each day in this wonderful world that God has made. Let’s look forward to them!
