Peace family, do you ever feel like the energy is sapped out of your faith, or you do not know what God wants from you? Do you find that when the world is shouting all kinds of crazy things at you, you become disoriented?
I want to share something that jumped out to me for the first time this week, while I was reading Matthew. Jesus had just been challenged by the Sadducees, but how he responded to them is applicable to us, too. Matthew 22:29 says, “Jesus replied, ‘You are in error because you do not know the Scriptures or the power of God.'” That’s big!
If there’s anything I hate, it’s being wrong. I also hate when I feel confused and lost, or like I can’t figure out what God thinks. This verse really convicted me! How much chaos could I get out of my life, if I took more time to really, really know, without a doubt, both what the Bible says, and God’s power?
That’s my prayer for us today, Peace Family: that we might have a deeper revelation of God’s word and His power! Let’s think through the miracles that he has done in our lives and in the lives of those around us. Let’s think about the miracles he did that are recorded in the Bible. Let’s study the way that Jesus interacts with others, and let’s treasure God’s commands in our hearts, and do them!
We don’t have to be wrong and confused; let’s realign our focus on God’s power and his words, today!
