Peace family, today, I want to encourage you that wherever you are, whatever has happened in your life, whatever your regrets are, God is still God, and he is working out redemption in your life.
I know for me, my life has not turned out at all the way I expected it to, and it was only recently that I came to a deeper level of peace. I had to trust that I was where I am in life (whether with relationships, health, work, and so on), because of God’s will for my life, and not because I might have somehow had the power to thwart the goodness of his plan for me. The Bible says in Romans 8:28, “And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.” (NIV) That is a promise, and we can embrace it, Peace family!
The Bible also says, “For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.” Ephesians 2:10 (NIV) Although we are saved by faith and not by our works, God does have good things prepared for us to do, as part of his victorious plan. As his “handiwork,” we can trust that He values us.
Finally, some things happen to us because we live in a fallen word. Other things happen to us as consequences of our own actions. However, God is still God! He is still going to be victorious in the end, no matter how long or wild the ride is. We can love him and worship him in all aspects of our lives, as stated in Colossians 3:23-24, “Col-3-23″Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters, since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving.” (NIV)
If you aren’t where you hoped to be today, trust that you are here because God has a plan for you. Look around you at what God might be wanting to teach you, and how you can serve and prosper where you are. God knows that you are here, and will help you with the grace you need to accomplish whatever you need to accomplish. Do the best you can, wherever you are, today!
