Caring For Those Who Are Grieving

April 25, 2016 by wpengine

Patient I'm Grieving

Peace family, our friend Gary Roe, chaplain at Hospice Brazos Valley, has written a new book called Please Be Patient, I’m Grieving: How to Care For And Support the Grieving Heart.

Gary always has a lot to say for the comfort of those who are grieving, but he tells us that this book is also for those who are wanting to support the bereaved. He says this book wasn’t really on his radar screen to write, but he kept hearing from people month after month who were grieving, asking him to write something for their loved ones to explain what’s going on. He says those who are grieving often feel misunderstood, isolated, judged and rejected by those around them, and this book aims to comfort them, but also to make grief less intimidating and daunting for friends and family around them who want to love them well.
