Peace family, my friend Hannah challenged me, saying, “Complete the sentence: ‘I choose Jesus over __________.’ Fill a page. Live on that choice.”
Wow! There are so many things that I put over Jesus on a regular basis, even without meaning to. What a powerful idea, to sit down, examine, and write out things that keep you from being close to him. Even good things, when they are placed above Christ, stop being good, and I know that for me, it’s really important to slow down and take a look at myself and whether I have strayed willfully or through distraction.
I hope this encourages you and helps give you motivation to think through your priorities. I know it encourages me to remember who I want to love, who I want to become, and how to do it!
