Today is May 5th and people of Mexican heritage all over the US are celebrating. To be exact, they are celebrating Mexico’s victory in the Battle of Puebla in 1862. Mexico, with only 4,000 troops defeated the French’s 8,000 troops. They were outnumbered and not expected to win but, against all odds they did! It reminds me of David and Goliah. I want to encourage you that even if the odds seem against you there is always hope. God is still in the miracle business today! He can do remarkable things!
Surprisingly today is celebrated more in the US than any other country. The largest celebration of Cinco de Mayo is in the Los Angeles, CA area. In America this is a day to celebrate the heritage and pride of the Mexican people. We here at Peace 107 celebrate with you!
