Don’t Give Up

Peace family, today, don’t give up!

It seems like a lot of folks are starting the year out with struggles, heartaches, deaths, and seemingly insurmountable challenges, but God is still with you. He is still a good God, no matter how painful or cruel our circumstances are. He loves you, He planned you, He redeems every mistake, and that is the truth.

Don’t give up on yourself, don’t give up on those around you, and don’t give up on God. You never know what an impact you might be making by letting God lead you and treating others with love.

If you feel empty, or overwhelmed, be vigilant to step back for a moment, take a big breath, and refocus. Take time to thank God for all of the ways that He has blessed you, but also be honest about your struggles and tell God what you really think and feel. Read the Bible and memorize verses that specifically combat the lies which you are most tempted to believe. Reach out to other believers who can encourage you, speak truth to you, and pray for you when you feel like your own prayers are useless (and if you don’t know anyone like that, get plugged into a church or call us! 979-695-1077). Serve others, and remember that the people who hurt you aren’t your real enemy; Satan is, and he is just using them.

I know those are all things that you already know to do, but sometimes it can help to just hear someone else say them. Peace family, you can do it. God is with you, and if God is with you, what can humans do against you? Anyway, just a few thoughts from your friendly, neighborhood Kat.
