Peace family, I just wanted to encourage you today that no matter what you are going through, God is with you and you are going to make it!
This morning while I was working, a close friend texted II Corinthians 4:16-18 to me. I had forgotten about it, but it’s one of my favorite passages; not only is it underlined in my Bible, but it is starred three times! It says, “Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day. For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.”
This goes along with a great reminder that another friend, who has many physical challenges, recently shared. He reminded me that whatever you are going through, remember that this world is not our home. We might suffer here on earth, and we might never accomplish or experience some of the dreams in our hearts, and that’s hard, but it’s going to be ok, because someday, we are going to be in Heaven with Christ and everything that we held so dear either isn’t going to matter so much, or isn’t going to matter in quite the same way. When he said that to me, it was just what I needed to hear at that time.
Peace family, we are bringing honor and glory to God as we fight the good fight. As we stand up for what is right, as we choose to trust, and as we say, “God, I choose obedience and believe that what you say is good, not what looks good in my own eyes,” we are showing our loyalty to the God of the Universe, and we are exercising our faith in him. Remember that He is with you, He loves you more than you can understand, and He is going to help you make it through this, Peace family. Today, keep hanging on, and focus on his love and the righteousness, forgiveness, purity, and the pleasure that he has regarding you as his child through Jesus Christ.
