Peace family, Central Baptist Church is offering an end of life care seminar on Saturday, January 14, which should be helpful to any adults in the community.
John Maurer, Legacy Adult Minister at Central Baptist Church of College Station, says it’ll be Saturday, January 14, from 10am to 1pm. The cost is $8 and includes lunch. He says the idea of “End of Life Care” may frighten some people, but we all recognize that life is short, for everyone. he says the church wants to help everyone from a spiritual perspective, to prepare for the times when we or loved ones come towards the end of our lives.
He says they plan to focus in on three different sections: 1) planning a funeral and cremation, with lead speaker Senior Pastor Chris Osborne, 2) living wills, trusts, and estate planning with speakers Michael and Andrew Middleton, and 3) hospice, palliative care, and nursing home decisions, with speakers Dr. Steven Higginbotham and nurse Jan Whitworth, both with Hospice Brazos Valley.
Some tickets might be available at the door, but seating is limited, so reserve your seat online at the church website by clicking HERE.
The meeting will be in the Fellowship Room at Central Baptist Church, 1991 FM 158, College Station, TX US 77845.
