Hi Peace Family! Jami here and I want to encourage you during this Christmas season to find the joy in little things. Especially if you are going through a hard time or dealing with grief, there is still some moments of joy you can find. Like….all the lights! We recently went to Santa’s Wonderland and the employees had fun seeing all the lights and going on the hayride. Just for that hour or two, there was laughter all around and such a warm sense of peace and the reason for the season. I’ve included some photos that a co-worker, Ebony took that night. Aren’t they beautiful?
You see, everything doesn’t have to be perfect in your life to appreciate the beauty in little things and let it warm your heart. Seeing Christmas lights and thinking, “Oh those are so beautiful!” or hearing children giggling and thinking, “What a wonderful sound that is!” or smelling fresh gingerbread cookies and thinking, “Oh yummmmmm that smells good!” Maybe having a friend come up and hug you and realizing the power of healing and love in a hug. There is even joy when you find the perfect gift for someone and think, “Oh they will love this! It is just what they need!”. That always brings a smile to my face no matter what my personal circumstances are. Most importantly, think of the reason for the season. Christ was born to take away the sins of the world and that includes you! It is a gift of grace. THAT alone is enough to make your heart smile and for a deep quiet joy fill your heart. You are loved. So loved by your Father God.
So find those moments and relish them in the midst of other circumstances in your life. And you can always turn on Peace 107 for uplifting and encouraging music and some of the best Christmas music anywhere! We love you, Peace Family, and encourage you to find joy (little peeks of it) this season.
