Peace family, gifts are a special part of life. There’s something so satisfying about finding just the right present for someone else. There’s also something so affirming about someone else finding just the right present for you! Today, I wanted to encourage you that God sees your gifts and the ways that you love others around you, no matter who does or doesn’t notice!
When God asks you to give of yourself, he is honored by your obedience. People will not always understand or receive your gifts, and even the church will sometimes overlook gifts that you offer. Sometimes, the way that you want to give a gift will not be the best way that the person you are wanting to bless can receive it. Instead of feeling rejected, discouraged, or frustrated, let’s rest on the assurance that we are doing it out of obedience to God, and out of a desire to love others well. Let’s give generously, not just materially, but with our time, mercy, forgiveness, grace, and compassion for others.
What can you give to God today? What can you give to others today? What has God given to you today, that you can be thankful for?
My prayer today, Peace family, is that you can be reassured in your value to Christ, recognize the beautiful things that God has given to you, and have your eyes opened to how he can use you to encourage others. Our God is a generous God! Let’s follow his example.
