Peace Family it’s Christmastime! I am still in the afterglow of Thanksgiving and I hope you have some warm, family and friends memories to carry with you too. It’s such a great time of year to point people towards Christ and the reason for the season. I want to encourage you to find your joy and spread it to everyone you have contact with.
There are people that don’t know Jesus and this season is the only time they get to feel that love and incredible gift of grace that is offered to them. My prayer is you will be a beacon of light and kindness and goodwill this season and will brighten the lives of others. There are so many ways to do that. Whether it’s by decorating the outside of your house, the inside of your house, or trimming the tree in the most beautiful way, it can bring a smile to someone’s face during a season that can be difficult. You can bake Christmas goodies and give them away or offer to take a neighbor shopping that doesn’t get out much anymore.
Something a few of us here at Bryan Broadcasting are doing is adopting retirement home residents that don’t have any family and will not be getting any presents this year. We just can’t let that happen! I understand that Christmas is for children, but it can make a world of difference to an older person to have a gift to unwrap too! Just to know that someone thought of you and you are not forgotten and alone this Christmas. I pray they will consider that these presents of socks, t-shirts, pajamas and special requests like music, cookies and make up symbolize that God loves them and has not forgotten them.
So find a way to bless someone in the midst of all the busyness of the season. There are a millions different ways to do that and it can be unique to you. God can use even the smallest act of kindness. And you may be the only Jesus some people will encounter this season.
Matthew 5:16—
“Let your light shine before men in such a way that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father who is in heaven.”
