Peace family, I just want to encourage you today that God is doing things, even things that you don’t perceive.
I love this time of year, because bulb plants that I’ve forgotten about spring up and bloom, much to my delight, and sometimes to my surprise. It reminds me of God, the way that he is working towards beauty and goodness while all I can see is dirt.
It can be so easy for us to forget that God is continually moving. Even as believers, it seems like we spend a lot of time worrying about everything going on around us. We worry about the problems we see in the world and our country, and we worry about the things going on in our lives. We struggle so hard to survive and succeed, and we struggle to remember that our love for Christ and sharing his love is actually the real point of our lives.
Peace family, do you have an area of your life that is in desperate need of breakthrough or revival today? Do you have painful circumstances that you are struggling through? Even when you don’t see any changes, I want to encourage you today that God is always moving. His ways are not our ways, his perspective is not our perspective, and his time is not our time, but he is all-knowing, he’s been around a lot longer than we have, and he is good.
Whether we see it or not, we can trust that God is working in our lives. This doesn’t mean that God is working toward our specific desires and outcomes. What it does mean, is that God is working towards his specific, glorious outcome, and we can trust Him, his goodness, and that in the end, His greatest good (which is also ours) will be accomplished. So, don’t despair! My prayer for you today, is that you may rest in him, and trust him, and be comforted in the areas where you can’t see God working. Trust that He is!
