Peace family, today, I just wanted to remind you that God is still God, and God is moving, even right now.
We have had so much violence this year, but that does not mean that God is any less powerful. We must continue to have compassion and mercy, to hold onto truth, and not give up. If your life feels stolen from, killed, or destroyed today, that is the work of the Satan. He wants you to feel powerless, instead of trusting in God and leaning on him.
Let us take our pain and confusion to God, and lay ourselves down at the foot of the cross. Let us trust God, and look to him for wisdom as we decide what to say and do. Let us pray for revival in America for our own, personal better obedience to God, and for healing from our suffering as we turn our lives over to him.
No matter how complicated our national problems seem, God is so much bigger than them, and so many of them would be solved by an attitude of humility, a desire for truth and righteousness, submission to God, true belief and knowledge of what the Bible says, and actually obeying and letting our faith transform our lives.
God’s plan really is best, and he came specifically to bind up the brokenhearted and set the captives free. He came to heal the deaf and the blind. He is good, and he really does have a good plan of redemption for us.
Peace family, let’s make the difference in our country that we personally can make. Let’s submit our own lives fully to Christ, let’s live out his grace and forgiveness in our lives, and let’s share the transforming power of God with the people around us, whom God has entrusted to our spheres of influence. The Church is not a country club; we are Christ’s representatives on earth, so let’s make sure we are aligned with him, take courage, and hold onto hope.
Peace family, today, remember who God is, who you are as his child, the higher things he has called you to, and be blessed!
