Peace family, we hear so many negative things, that I wanted to start your day with something positive!
I was recently rear-ended and the insurance company “totaled” my car because it is older, but I am still driving it until it is able to be fixed. The bumper is pretty beaten up though, so much so that the back mud flap has been shifting slowly as I have continued to drive. In fact, on Sunday after church, the mud flap had slipped so much that it was pressed firmly into the tire, sort of locking it, and I couldn’t drive home. My friends were all gone, and the ones I called didn’t answer.
I didn’t know what else to do, so I walked back to church and asked a greeter if there were any maintenance workers that might be able to help. He didn’t know of any, however, he had a lot of tools in his truck, and another gentleman standing there had the gumption for fixing! The next thing I knew, I was standing by these two kind strangers as they figured out the best way to take the mud flap off, and got down on their knees and did it! I was very grateful, and it encouraged my heart.
Do you feel discouraged today? Do you feel like there is no one there to help you? I just want to encourage you that there are kind, godly people everywhere, and God knows your needs. He will provide for you, even if it is not necessarily in the way you expect! Let’s keep our eyes fixed on the Lord, “from whence cometh our help.”
