WAYS TO HELP…
Where to donate
The Community Foundation of the Texas Hill Country
The Community Foundation of the Texas Hill Country has launched The Kerr County Flood Relief Fund, which it says will support both rescue and rebuilding efforts. The Kerr County Sheriff, and the City of Kerrville Police Department are both directing people to donate money thru them. Those funds will go to what they call “vetted organizations providing rescue, relief, and recovery efforts as well as flood assistance” in the communities of Hunt, Ingram, Kerrville, Center Point, and Comfort.
The Salvation Army
The Salvation Army has boots on the ground across Texas. We reached out to our partners at the Salvation Army of Bryan/College Station who say they don’t need anymore donated items, but instead were focusing on monetary donations.
You can also donate specifically to the Kerrville Salvation Army here.
The Center Point Volunteer Fire Department
The Center Point Volunteer Fire Department says their “VENMO account is up and operating….People wishing to make donations should look for the Venmo “Business” account listed as Center Point Volunteer Fire Department…most importantly people need to look for the user name: CPVFDTX
Look for the fire department name that is a “Business” account. That’s the legitimate one, along with our username.”

HOW TO VOLUNTEER
Volunteers are asked to go to Texas Volunteer Recovery if they would like to offer on the ground assistance in relief efforts. They ask that you not self-deploy to the flooded areas as it has interfered with the plans that first responders have in place.
