Peace family, when was the last time that you were delightfully surprised? Do weird “coincidences” ever end up making you feel like you’ve gotten a hug from God himself?
This morning, I had one of those moments! Something that most people don’t know about me, is that I love camels! Even though it’s weird, one of the ways that God encourages me is through camels. I started learning a lot about them last year, and the more that I learned about them, the more I appreciated them!
Anyway, I was feeling pretty tired this morning, but when I got to my desk, I was so excited to find a plush camel! It’s tremendously cute, absolutely soft, and just the right size to hug! It took me a while to figure out that the camel and a note were left by a girl who works at the Bryan Broadcasting front desk, but she is someone who I never expected would know that I love camels. She told me that somebody randomly donated the camel to our company around Christmas time, but we weren’t able to use it. Apparently, as several staff members discussed what to do about the camel, my name came up!
A few years ago, I learned that there isn’t a word in Hebrew for “coincidence,” which I think, implies that God puts a lot more thought and action into things than we sometimes give him credit for! I felt like God gave me a hug this morning, through my coworkers randomly giving me a camel!
Peace family, what are some ways God might have shown you his love already this year? Have you taken time to think about it and really accept the love that he has for you? Even if a blessing felt like a “coincidence,” I want to reassure you that God loves you, and he made you with all of your quirky traits and interests! You can rest assured that He knows how to touch your heart, and if you are paying attention, you will notice all kinds of ways that he is providing and pouring out affection; after all, the Bible says that every good and perfect gift is from him!
My prayer for you today, is that you will feel more loved than ever this year. Although the Bible says that God’s love for us is beyond all measure or comprehension, let’s make the vulnerable choice of really trusting that He does indeed understand and love us!
