Peace family, what inspires you? What gives you hope and excitement to face your coming days?
If you’re having trouble thinking of anything, I have a big hug for you. I also want to reassure you that God puts even little things into each life to help us along our paths. If you can’t think of anything right now (I know that only last week, I couldn’t), at least we do have the changing of seasons, each with its own special characteristics to enjoy, regardless of how bogged down we might personally feel.
In the last few days, though, God has reminded me that I have a lot to look forward to. Ever since I came home from Greece, I have been inspired to cook and try all kinds of Greek foods, to read more deeply in the books of the Bible written by the Apostle Paul, and to make changes in my life and schedule that bring more life, rest, and peacefulness. I also do have things to look forward to: for one, an upcoming weekend of baseball games with a fellow female fan, complete with baseball movies and snacks. We do it every year as part of our celebration of summer. It might be silly, but it is one of the small things that gives me something to look forward to and makes my life special.
Peace family, if you are feeling worn out and uninspired today, take heart! There are small things all around you to celebrate. I am praying that you will be inspired today, and encouraged! Keep your chin up, keep your eyes open, and keep your heart grateful for the blessings that you have. Here’s hoping you will be blessed even more.
Anyway, just a few thoughts from your friendly, neighborhood Kat.
