Jennifer G – Bryan, TX

December 6, 2019 by Ann

When I was little there was six of us in the house and my parents didn’t make a lot of money. One Christmas my dad, who was in construction, got laid off and we only had mom’s secretarial income to support the family. Dad was an awesome welder and could think outside the box. Mom and dad made a Christmas tree out of wire coat hangers and a broom handle. We decorated that tree with homemade popcorn garland, tinsel and ornaments. It was, and still is, one of my favorite memories of Christmas and of my dad who passed away almost 16 years ago, six months after my first child was born. I only wish I still had the pictures to show my children.
