Peace Family, your journey has a purpose, even if you can’t see it.
I’m going to branch out onto a nerdy limb here (see what I did there?) and refer to one of my favorite works, The Lord of The Rings. Do you ever feel like you have a heavy burden strapped around your neck that God has asked you to drop into the fiery pit of Mount Doom? Not only that, but the whole trip is perilous, painful, and unpredictable, with no guarantee of success, comfort, or even survival. Sound familiar?
I just want to encourage you that God does have a plan, and there is some sort of good somehow related to our pain, even if we can’t see it and never do see it in this life time. Even when our hardships are a result of living in a sinful world and we did nothing to deserve them, God is still sovereign, and he can still create something beautiful from our mourning and ashes. God knows we are weak little hobbits, but He’s asking us to trust him and just obey. And that is HARD do! But he is with us on our journey and never abandons us, even during the times when we can’t see or hear him.
So, from one little hobbit to another, be encouraged! You can do it. Even the most painful and confusing journey has a point, and can glorify God.
Anyway, just a few thoughts from your friendly, neighborhood Kat.
