Peace Family one way to have a better perspective of your whole life is to keep track or write down your blessings. Every one of us have good things happen every day that, if we aren’t aware, will slip our mind. Isn’t it amazing how the bad things seems to linger and stay on our minds? One way to counteract that is to be really aware of the things that go right in your day. And yes small things count! This morning as I pulled up my car at work I looked into a field and saw a roadrunner. I haven’t seen one of those in years, so to me it was exciting. For you, it might be totally different kinds of things. But God knows what makes you smile and it matters to him.
We have Thankful Thursdays here at Peace 107 and encourage you to think about what you are thankful for, but I suggest you don’t have to wait until Thursday to be thankful. You can choose to be thankful for the little things and the big things that are in your life. One way is to keep a journal of what you are thankful for or for the blessings in your life.
I was given a Blessings Journal while going through cancer treatment and it reminded me to be aware of and thankful for every little thing. The ironic thing was it was given to me by a fellow cancer patient who was in a more dire situation than I was. What an example she set for me! As I said in the beginning of this, if you are more aware of the good things that happen daily it helps you to have a better perspective of your whole life…the good and the bad and everything in between.
We serve a good, good Father and He loves you more than you could ever know, Peace Family. I pray you will dwell more on His love rather than your circumstances.
