Do you have a heart for teenagers, and want to make a godly impact on the next generation?
JoLynn Easter with Save Our Streets Ministries says they need volunteer mentors for their Thursday night teen ministry. She says that the ministry has grown so much, that they need more bus monitors and door monitors to make sure that the kids get to and from Bible study, safely. She says that right now, the staff is having to fill in the gaps, taking away from the other areas where they are needed.
Easter says they also need people willing to serve at the after school program, from 3:45 to 4:45 on Mondays and Tuesdays. It’s a time for the kids to find relief from the day and receive help with homework, and SOS Ministries also tries to teach the teens skills such as gardening, sewing, and a fitness.
To get involved, call the SOS office at (979) 775-5357, or fill out a volunteer application on the website, at http://saveourstreetsministries.org.
She encourages you to read about the different needs that they have, and fins a place where you could serve!
