Peace family, there’s an upcoming opportunity to make a big difference for a local family at the Nolan Whisenant BBQ Benefit!
The benefit will last from 3pm to 6pm on Saturday, November 5, at Wellborn Baptist Church, but today is the deadline to reserve a barbecue plate.
Charles Rogers says that back on August 10, Chad Whisenant, a local realtor, and his son Nolan, were in a bad car accident on their way home from church. Chad needed surgery and is ok, but Nolan is still in a coma. The funds from this event will help their family with medical costs, but also show that the community supports them as they go through this unbelievably difficult time.
Charles says even if you only hang out for fifteen minutes, there are still lots of other ways to support, such as a silent auction at 5:45, and your presence will be very meaningful for the family.
