Peace family, today, I just want to share some encouragement that someone gave to me, and it’s true for you, too: No matter how you feel, God has not forgotten you.
Even when it doesn’t feel or look like it, God is working a beautiful plan in your life. He has a purpose for you. God has not forgotten where you are, or what is going on in your life, or your past, or your triumphs, or your heartaches. He hasn’t left you behind. You aren’t worth less than other people. God is going to use every hard part of your life to bring glory. He is still writing your story, even if it doesn’t feel like it, or if it feels like he has left you.
We all know the story of Joseph, how he ended up saving all of Egypt in a way that he couldn’t have done if his brothers didn’t first abandon him and throw him in a pit, then sell him into slavery, where he was unfairly accused by his master’s wife and thrown into Pharaoh’s prison. Joseph was enslaved and imprisoned for many years and probably felt abandoned by God from time to time, but he served God right where he was, even in bad circumstances. What others had intended as evil towards him, God eventually and powerfully turned to good.
All of this to say, if you feel like you are in a pit or in a prison, take heart! Your story is not over yet, and God is the best planner and writer in all of history. Eventually, it’s going to be a powerful story of love, redemption, and victory. Anyway, just a few thoughts from your friendly, neighborhood Kat.
