One year ago I was laying in a hospital bed recovering from cancer surgery and waiting to start chemo and radiation. It was the hardest thing I have ever been through. Rough road. But it drew me closer to God than I had ever been. Dependent on Him for every day’s strength to deal with whatever that day held. Sometimes I lived hour by hour. Especially the nights I couldn’t sleep and would pace the floor battling nausea and other side effects. But in those moments God was there. Right by my side. I did not feel alone. And I felt the prayers from you and others who cared for me. I have even met several of you at remotes that have let me know you prayed for me. I am so touched and grateful for every prayer!
Today I am back on the radio airwaves of Peace 107 full-time and so happy to be here doing what I love. Texas is the best state to live in and the Brazos Valley is my spot of heaven on earth. Oh what a difference a year makes! Next scan will be in July, but so far, cancer free! Thank you for your love, prayers and support. I wouldn’t be here without you. I am grateful for every day! XO
