Peace family, what are some steps you can take today to provide a way for peace in your life?
Almost all of us have those people, that if we were to see them at Walmart, we would slink away as quietly and quickly as possible. Maybe we don’t want to deal with their drama, or they get on our nerves, they’ve hurt us, or maybe we’ve even hurt them. Do you have someone like that in your life?
This is a perfect opportunity to pray and ask God, “Is there anything deeper to what I am feeling, and why I am feeling it?” The Bible says that we should live at peace with everyone, to the best of our abilities, and even though it isn’t always possible, sometimes it is more possible than we expect.
Doing the best we can to be at peace with our difficult people doesn’t always mean having coffee or hanging out, but sometimes it does. Sometimes it means brave choices that make us uncomfortable, but that we genuinely feel God has asked us to do. And sometimes it means trusting God, resting in his presence, and choosing to forgive people who do not apologize, and might never apologize.
The Bible tells us to do justice, love mercy, and walk humbly with God, and all of those things will help us as we pray and ask God how to help us do our part in restoring relationships, and honoring God in our relationships.
Peace family, if this is an area of struggle in your life today, please, know that I am praying for you today, and also that God is walking with you each step of the way. Hang in there! He loves you and is with you!
