Hi Peace Family! One important thing we can do when suffering is to give thanks. I know it’s not easy to do. But by doing this we change the focus off of ourselves and our suffering and put it on God and all that He is and can do. The Bible never asks us to give thanks FOR the affliction, but does tell us to give thanks IN every circumstance. Whether you are having trouble with finances, your health, your children or at work, there are things to be thankful for. Here are a few to hold on to and consider:
-
God is sovereign and in control. (Isaiah 46:9-10)
-
That God’s love never ends. (Lamentations 3:22-23)
-
That Jesus will never leave you nor forsake you. (Hebrews 13:5)
-
God is with you in your affliction. (Isaiah 43:2)
-
God hears your every prayer. (Psalm 34:15)
-
God is near you in your pain. (Psalm 34:18)
-
Someday Jesus will wipe away your tears and you will see his glorious face. (Revelations 21:4)
We love you, Peace Family and want you to know how loved you are today. From us, and more importantly, from your Heavenly Father.
