Peace family, today, I want to remind you that your prayers are powerful, no matter how things look or feel, or what you’re going through. Sometimes life is so hard; I know there have been situations and people that I prayed for that didn’t work out. Close family friends have died instead of being healed, disappointments have happened that I didn’t understand, relationships haven’t been reconciled, and doors have closed, despite heartfelt prayers and fasting.
Even so, God is faithful and our prayers DO matter, even if it’s just something that God is wanting to do in our hearts. The Bible says, “The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective.” James 5:16b (NIV)
Sometimes there just aren’t clear answers as to why we suffer, but there is still so much power, even relief, in sharing our struggles and thoughts with God and others.
I hope that encourages you. I’m rooting for you!
Just a few thoughts from your friendly neighborhood Kat.
