Rebecca W – Bryan, TX

December 16, 2019 by Ann

Every Christmas my grandmother would make gingerbread men for her family and friends. She would make close to 100 large gingerbread men cookies and decorate each one with the faces and our names on each one. She was diagnosed with cancer and we knew it would be our last Christmas with her. My aunt made wooden gingerbread men ornaments and my grandmother wrote our names on each one with a paint pen. That was our last gingerbread man that we received and it is so special to us. As I decorate my Christmas tree each year, I hang the ornaments and remember where each and every ornament came from. I have so many fun Christmas memories and they are all of things we did together as a family.
