Peace family, what are some of your favorite ways to refocus on what’s important?
I had a really busy weekend that included 14 house guests, 7 of whom spent the night for several nights in a row, and 12 people to whom I ended up serving food or drinks (and 10 of those were not even the same people as the ones who spent the night)! I am definitely tired today, but it was also very rewarding to invest in others, and there were some sweet moments this weekend!
Peace family, I just want to encourage you that no matter how tired or drained you feel, no matter what’s going on in your life, and no matter who all needs you to minister to them today, Jesus wants to meet you in that place. It’s a fresh, new month. If you have the chance, just take five minutes today to rest your mind and body, and think back on Christ and what he has done for us collectively, and also for you, personally, in your life. I want you to remember that you are valuable, that God has more affection for you than you know, and that He is proud of you every time that you choose him.
I want you to be encouraged to hang in there! The Bible says, “Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.” Galatians 6:9 (NIV) So don’t give up! God is the source of all energy, all wisdom, all love, and all kindness, and He can share his endless resources with us. Anyway, just a few thoughts from your friendly, neighborhood Kat.
