Peace Family, what are you thankful for?
Recently, I was reminded to count my blessings! One of my mentors encouraged me to get a journal and write specifically about the things I am thankful for every day. The funny thing about it is, once you begin to cultivate an atmosphere of gratitude in your heart, it is difficult to stop!
It doesn’t mean that all of your problems or worries go away, but it is at least nice to focus on what God really has done for you. If you start by just thanking God for the little things, even if the big things are stressful or messed up, it can be so encouraging to realign your focus to the small, good things. This is going to sound silly, but today, I am thankful for the beautiful cherry tomatoes that a friend gave me, and the delicious bacon, tomato, and spinach sandwich that I made for lunch with them!
What are you thankful for? There is no limit! Take some time and list your blessings. I really think it will encourage you.
Anyway, just a few thoughts from your friendly, neighborhood Kat.
