Peace family, have you taken time lately to examine your personal story of God working in your life? How did you get to know God? What has he been teaching you lately?
Even if you aren’t much of a writer, I’d like to encourage you today to take time to write your story. Think through the ways that God has been faithful to you, the times that he has rescued you, and the ways that he has shown compassion and mercy to you.
Some scripture that has been on my heart this morning is Lamentations 3:22-26, “Because of the Lord’s great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness. I say to myself, ‘The Lord is my portion; therefore I will wait for him.’ The Lord is good to those whose hope is in him, to the one who seeks him; it is good to wait quietly for the salvation of the Lord.”
Peace family, when we fully give ourselves over to Christ, nothing else can consume us. His compassion and mercy and continually renewed. He has saved us and will continue to save us.
Your story is powerful, and it’s not over! God is still still working in your life. He can use your story to greatly encourage others and draw them closer to himself. He can also use your story to encourage you! Take a little time today, Peace family, to remember and write down your story of Christ’s pursuit of your heart. You never know what a difference it might make!
