Peace family, when was the last time that you expressed God’s love to the world through blessing a stranger?
I am not sure why it has been happening, but for some reason the last two or three weeks, God has been showing his love to me a lot through strangers.
I have had an Amazon vendor accidentally send me two items for the price of one, but when I emailed to ask about sending one back, he told me to keep it and “Merry Christmas.” I also tried to use a voucher that was almost expired, and since the place I was shopping no longer had the item that I was looking for, the shopkeeper, out of his own volition, gave me a better item than the one I should have been able to get! Then, this last Sunday, I was standing in line behind a woman at the grocery store, and she was buying a box of cookies that she had never tried before. She opened the box and gave me a cookie, too! I noticed that she was wearing a cross necklace, but she didn’t say anything to try to bring me to Christ. She just showed me love and generosity!
Peace family, it sounds silly, but the kindnesses of these strangers really added up, and reminded me that God loves me, he sees what I am going through, and he can use other people to bless me. I had a few rough things happen during the holidays, and these strangers’ kindness towards me brought me to tears. It was a great reminder to me, to see how I can bless other people, too!
Peace family, be loving to strangers! You never know what a huge difference you might be making in someone else’s life.
