Peace family, I want to share some small joys in my life! Where are you finding delight these days?
Lately, I’ve been finishing up a very large quilting project. I’ve had a lot of fun this year, experimenting with an instant pot, and also with a bread machine. Also, it’s taken work, but I’ve gotten so much joy out of training my cats to do tricks. I’ve started work on sewing a traditional dress that has a funny trim I’m learning how to make by hand. Meanwhile, there are so many things to look forward to in fall: football, knitting, candy apples, gathering pecans, the Brazos Valley Fair and Rodeo, going to Homecoming at my high school, out-of-state family coming down to Texas for Thanksgiving, game nights with friends and apple cider, cookie exchanges, and fall gardening (including roses blooming)!
Are any of these things very important? Not really, but they are definitely blessings that God has put in my life, and which I am thankful for!
What small joys do you have in your life? I think we honor God just by being thankful and recognizing and remembering all of the ways that he has blessed us! Take delight in your small joys today. Make a list of what you are thankful for, and be encouraged!
