Peace family, it’s a fresh, new month that also happens to be the last month of the year. Let’s both take a second to take stock.
Was this a good year for you? Was it a hard year? Was it joyful? Was it painful?
I haven’t accomplished everything that I set out to do this year, and maybe you haven’t either, but there is still time to work on it. Sometimes, too, with time we gain perspective and realize that maybe some of the things we aimed to do weren’t that important.
No matter what else, no matter what goals you did or didn’t meet, do you feel closer to God now than you did at the beginning of the year? Do you have a better understanding of his faithfulness to you, of his being with you in everything, even if you are suffering?
We have one month left until it’ll be a new year, but with God, every day is a new day, and every moment is a fresh chance to draw closer to Him. There is still time to draw close to him, and if you’ve struggled, there is still time to notice the good things that were part of this year. Here’s a hug and a blessing, that you will finish the year with courage and love.
Anyway, just a few thoughts from your friendly, neighborhood Kat.
