Thank a Teacher!

Hi Peace Family! It’s Jami Mayberry. If you haven’t had the chance to thank a teacher for changing your life I encourage you to do it! My 6th Grade teacher, Mrs. Esther Pedigo, changed mine in so many good ways. She actually found me on Facebook. When I was in her class she used to give me checks on my report card for, ‘Unable to refrain from unnecessary talking.’ When she saw what I did for a living she wrote me a short email that said, “Hello Little Jami….I see you’re still talking….” 🙂

What a delight it’s been to get to know her as an adult and friend. We went to lunch last week in Amarillo and it was the first time to see her sweet smile since I was 12 years old. What a gift! We talked about school and she remembered every child’s name AND their siblings. It was amazing. She is 80 years young. What a jewel she is!

Find your favorite teachers and thank them. They have invested their career and life into their students and it will make them feel wonderful to know they made a difference in even one child’s life. Thank a teacher!
