“Everybody loves a good story,” shares Blessing. “Especially the ones that make us feel not so alone. This song wasn’t so much written as much as it presented itself. Sitting with my co-writer Rita, we shared life stories, shared frustrations, and while we came from such different places, the stories, the feelings were all too similar. Sometimes just seeing ourselves in someone else’s story, knowing that someone else made it through, can be exactly what we need. No one likes facing the hard things in life, but inevitably – eventually – tomorrow comes and we find that the sun does rise. I hope ‘The Morning’ is a song that helps others realize they are not alone.”
Later this month, Blessing will perform at Today’s Jenna Bush Hager’s inaugural “Read with Jenna Book Festival” in Nashville. He will then perform at CMA Fest on June 8th, debuting some new music.
