Peace family, today, I just want to encourage you that God will accomplish his plans in your life, and nothing can stop him. I’m not saying that sin won’t get us off track, but there is nothing we or others can do to thwart God’s purposes for our lives. Nothing is more powerful than our unstoppable God.
I have been worrying and struggling a lot with some situations that I have no control over, and I am learning how to trust those circumstances and people to God, for healing and restoration in his own time. Sometimes it can be so hard to have, as the Serenity Prayer says, “serenity to accept the things I cannot change, courage to change the things I can, and wisdom to know the difference.” However, the Bible assures us in multiple passages that God will work things together for the good of those who love him (see Romans 8:28.)
No matter how overwhelmed or powerless I might feel, and no matter how victorious evil might seem, the Bible says, “But the plans of the Lord stand firm forever, the purposes of his heart through all generations” (Psalm 33:10-12, NIV). It also says, “The Lord makes firm the steps of the one who delights in him,” (Psalm 37:22-24, NIV), and also, “The heart of a man plans his way, but the LORD establishes his steps” (Proverbs 16:9, ESV.)
