You Are Beautiful!

Peace family, has anyone told you lately how uniquely beautiful you are?

My friend Chip Howard (you might know him from Sports Radio 1150, The Zone) loves fishing. Of all my friends who post pictures on Facebook, he is always posting the most impressive fishing pictures, and what a variety! He told me that he recently went snorkeling, and that the creativity that God has unleashed in the ocean is overwhelming. Every fish is unique in its own way, and for example, he recently caught a Redfish which wasn’t even large enough to keep, but it was a brilliant mix of red hues, and had seven black circles on its tail (having that many spots is a little unusual.)

There are many amazing things in nature that we can increase our admiration for God, if we take time to notice them The Psalms are full of celebrations of God’s majesty in creation, for example, Psalm 33:6-9, and Psalm 65:9-16. Romans 1:19-20, names creation as a testimony to God’s existence, that he is made plain to humanity by it, so we have no excuse not to believe in him.

Peace family, you were personally designed by the same God who made all of creation! All of your favorite flowers, all of your favorite fruits, and all of your favorite animals were designed by the same mastermind. We are certainly more complex than fish, so we reflect even more of God’s talent and creativity. Let’s thank him for his wisdom and design today, and if you haven’t felt awe over the beauty of creation in a while, it might be time to take a short vacation! Even a few hours outdoors, or a trip to the grocery store where we really look at and appreciate the produce, can refresh our hearts and remind us of all the beauty that God has made. It’s sometimes more of a struggle for us to remember that we personally are designed by this same amazing God, but it’s true! He is a beautiful God, and he made you beautiful, too! remember that the next time that you admire nature!
